Conditions Of Booking

All accommodation is offered subject to availability at time of receipt of deposit, and at the tariffs applicable according to season. A minimum deposit of £20.00 per person is required. Children are half the Adult rate.Balance to be paid on arrival. If you wish to pay by cheque please remit at least 14 days prior to your arrival. Authorised Credit/Debit Cards and cash paid on arrival. Payments by Credit/Debit Cards will incur a 5% surcharge.

Meal times are pre-arranged and no allowance can be made for meals not taken Breakfast 8.30am. Evening Meal 5.00pm Rooms available on day of arrival from 1.00pm Rooms must be vacated by 10.00am on day of departure. Times outside of those specified but must be confirmed with the Accommodation prior to arrival.

The proprietors cannot accept responsibility for loss of guest’s property unless handed in for safe custody. Should you be delayed on your journey and not arriving at your intended arrival time, we would ask you to telephone and advise us accordingly.

The proprietors reserve the right to amend, curtail or terminate any contract should the conduct of any person who is a part to that contract cause any detriment to the well being or comfort of other guests. Noise should be kept to a minimum after 10.30pm. The Accommodation reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behaviour of guests who must take all steps for corrective action as requested by the Accommodation. In the event of failure to comply with management requests, the Accommodation may terminate the booking or stop any event immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation.

All persons using the premises do so entirely at their own risk and no responsibility will be accepted by Cavendish Hotel for loss or damage to vehicles or other effects or equipment however caused. No refunds can be made for early departure.

Refunds & Cancellations. In the event of cancellation for any reason the deposit paid is non- refundable and will not be transferred to another date and will be deductible from any claim for compensation arising out of any cancellation or curtailment of the contract. In the event that the accommodation cannot be re-let, then a charge equal to the total account less an allowance for food and service is payable.

To make a cancellation, you will be required to call or email us. In a case of no show at the hotel, if the deposit has been paid using a credit / debit card authorised account number, then any payment due, owing to cancellation, will also be made on this same account number by the proprietor.

From 1st July 2007 it will be a legal requirement that smoking is prohibited in all the rooms. The Accommodation reserves the right to terminate the booking in the event of failure or suspicion of failure to comply with this request without being liable for any refund or compensation.

This is a No Smoking Hotel. No wines, spirits, beers or food may be brought into the Accommodation or Accommodation grounds by Clients, their guests or representatives for consumption or sale on the premises without the express written consent of the Accommodation and for which a charge may be made by the Accommodation.

Clients are responsible for any damage caused to the allocated rooms, furnishings, utensils and equipment in them by any act, omission, default or neglect of the Clients, their guests or sub-contractors and will pay to the Accommodation on demand the amount required to make good or remedy any such damage. Loss or damage, for which any occupier of the accommodation may be responsible, will be paid for in full before departure.
Queries and Complaints The hotel is proud of the standard of accommodation and service offered to all guests. In the unlikely event that you should have cause for concern during your stay, please bring the matter to the attention of the proprietor.

Every effort can then be made to meet you requirements or resolve problems. It is considered unreasonable to raise concerns after your departure should the hotel not first have been given the opportunity to attend to these matters during your stay. By booking this holiday you have entered into a legally binding contract with this Establishment under the terms and conditions as detailed above.

Insurance: Clients are recommended to have insurance to cover cancellation, curtailment, and loss of baggage, personal effects and money.
