As a business, we are legally obliged to comply with the new GDPR regulations which will become enforced on 25th May 2018. These regulations aim to ensure that any information you supply to a business is only used for the purposes for which you intended it to be, and that your personal details are kept secure.
The Cavendish Hotel will be approaching this in the following way.
We have always ensured your details are kept secure so we shall be implementing the following statement:
As it stands, all personal details are kept on password protected software which only the directors of the business has access to. On the rare occasions we print a paper copy of details, they are kept only for the duration of the booking. After this time, they are destroyed. Check in records are kept until our annual audit and then destroyed. Credit card details are not retained unless you book via Booking.com. In this instance they are available to us only until the day of your departure and are held on a password protected area of our our booking system at freetobook.com
If you are booking with any of the booking agencies we use, through our website, or by telephone you will, by continuing with that booking, give us permission to keep your details on our secure systems.
Due to the nature of our business, we can have repeat customers. As such we will also keep your details on our secure system for potential future bookings, unless you (the client) explicitly tells us that you would like your details removing from our records.
For further information on these changes, please see the government website:
